Dazhu Hamlet

Geographical Position:

Dazhu Hamlet, with an area of 3.76 square kilometers, locates on the southwest of the village. It's adjacent with Xitou Hamlet on the east, with Nan Tou City on the south, with Yuanlin Town on the west, and with Zhonglun Hamlet on the north.

Like Zhonglun Hamlet and Tong'an Hamlet which are to north of it, Dazhu Hamlet is also on the plains of Ba Gua Tai, with an altitude of between 350 and 360 meters. Most of the residents live on the Ba Gua Tai plains on the west, that is along both sides of Da Zhang Road ( 139 th Road ).

History of the Name:

Dazhu comes from Dazhu Group created by the early residents who planted trees around the area to protect themselves from strong winds and from stealing.

Traffic arteries:

The main roads of the hamlet that extends outwards are: Da Zhang Road ( 139 th Road) that goes from the south to the north and reaches Zhang Hua City on the north and Nan Tou City on the south, Qiu Qian Road that goes from the west to the east which is named after the 7 th and 8 th head of the hamlet Xu Qiu Qian to commemorate him for his contribution in widening the hamlet, and Yuan Cao Road ( 148 th County Road) that goes through Gui Lun on the northeast of the hamlet.
