Jiaxing Hamlet

Geographical Position:

Jiaxing Hamlet, with an area of 3.37 square kilometers, is on the northeast corner of this village and 2 kilometers away from the east of She Kou Street where the village administration office is located. The territory of this hamlet consists of two parts: one part is the Xia Qie Lao area, namely the area of dense population along eastern bank of Qie Lao Stream in the Jiaxing Gong and Yong Qing Gong area, lies on the west of Qie Lao Stream. this part is bounded by Qie Lao Hamlet on the north and northest; on the south by Cao Tun Village of Nan Tou County; on the west by Jin Fen Hamlet and Fen Yuan Hamlet of this village. The other part, namely the most east area of this village, is next to Wu Stream on the east and it is boRoadered upon Wu Fen Village of Tai Zhong County by the middle line of the Stream; while this part is bounded by Cao Tun Village of Nan Tou County on the east and south; and by Qie Lao Hamlet of this village on the west. This hamlet is in the basin of center of Tai Wan, and the main Streams are: Wu Stream in the northeast and Ai Liao Stream in the Xia Qie Lao area.

 

History of the Hamlet Name:

This hamlet was one of 40 villages governed by Mao Luo Bao in Dao Guang period of Qing Dynasty. Until the colonial period by Japan, it became the 8 th Bao of Xia Qie Lao section under the control of She Kou Police Station. AfterwaRoads, Japanese colonists (Tai Wan satrap) adjusted the local administrative division for many times and readjusted the Jie Zhuang precint after the end of 22, ROC (8, Zhao He; 1933). Since the recovery Xia Qie Lao was divided into Qie Lao Hamlet and this hamlet, with Jiaxing as its name,. It has not changed until now.
